Mobile Security Solutions delivers a unique personal security service on Smartphones which can prevent crime, secure important evidence in real time and alert friends about where you are. We hope to save lives and prevent crime with this service!
Proposal Summary:
Violence-related crime is a growing problem in our society. In the U.S., violence is estimated to cost at least 3.3% of GDP (WHO)
• Most rape charges are dropped due to lack of evidence (82%). 8% are convicted (Norway)
• By the end of the first half of 2012 there were over 14,000 reported violence-related cases in Norway - which is a society with low crime rate.
Statistics in Norway show that:
• Over 5% of the population has been exposed to violence in the past year
• Over 15% of the population feels exposed to violence
Mobile Security Solutions delivers a unique personal security service on Smartphones which can prevent crime, secure important evidence in real time and alert friends and family about where you are.
Important evidence sent from the mobile device: images, sound, position, id, time stamp and more - all stored as evidence on our secure servers.
The service has been developed by experienced telecom professionals in close consultation with the Police, the Public Prosecutor and the data protection authority in Norway.
The service can be used to:
• Protect against violence and avoid unpleasant situations
• Let people know where you are and follow your movements
• Document an insident when you see something / find something that you want to document as potential evidence
The service has been developed for
• Everyone who wants to feel safer (or for their loved ones)
• Anyone who can come in a risk-situation
• Anyone who wants to document things and have it stored as potential evidence
Business objectives:
Market Leader in serious personal security service on cell phones in the markets we launch (professional and mass market)
• 20 000 customers in Norway after two years
• 50 000 customers in the Nordic countries after three years
• 300,000 customers in total after 5 years
Brand goal:
• Creating knowledge about the brand myGuard and thus contribute to sales
• Communication goals:
• 20% awareness in the main target group (women 15 - 40 years) - they should know about myGuard and what the service means to them
• Partner strategy:
• Team up with large local professional partners with a good reputation and good local services
• Team up with partners who want to expand into mobile personal security because they see this as a future way for growth by using existing infrastructure already in place.
• Team up with local governmental, community services and police forces
Return On Investment:
In the current state - we want to focus on sales and marketing through geographical expansion outside Norway and through the right partners. The service has now been in the market for almost 1 year and has been thoroughly tested and improved through several minor releases. We want to increase our efforts and need some more working capital to manage this - in the magnitude of EUR 100 000 to 200 000. We are willing to sell 15-30% of the shares in the company to the right investors.
